Peaceful Warrior

Ok, ok… i know this blog i supposed to be about photography. So then why i would like to say something about this fantastic film? Because in a way it has to do with (my) photography. The film is about a gymnast who thinks he has everything, and knows everything – but nevertheless does not feel complete. Until he meets this wise stranger who eventually becomes his mentor… The movie is all about living in the present (now), and losing all the clutter in the mind about the past (and the future) – clutter that is only creating fears, worries – ultimately limiting us to reach our full potential. The message which shines through is that when you love what you do, you can never fail… some oneliners from the movie to ponder about :
“You think you know everything, while the only thing you know is that you think” ;
“Happiness can be found in the journey, not in the final destination”.
So what has this to do with my photography? Because being with my camera in the field, being in nature and looking at a landscape with a fantastic sun rising or setting and fixing that magical moment in time just makes me completely happy…
If anything of the above makes sense to you (most probably not, you must be thinking i lost my mind) go looking the movie and try applying it in your life, just like i will try…
